Coastal Center for Obesity offers frequent in-depth presentations, in a group format, at various locations.

A Coastal Obesity Surgeon conducts a detailed presentation on gastric bypass surgery, including surgical anatomy changes, physiology changes, and the benefits, risks, necessary lifestyle changes and expected outcomes associated with gastric bypass surgery. A family member or other support person is encouraged to attend as well. Following the surgeon's presentation, our insurance specialist will provide you with an overview of the insurance verification and authorization process, answer questions regarding standard surgical benefits, and describe our cash pay program. Next, our program nurse will discuss the multi-disciplinary education offered at all patients of our center to give you the knowledge you need for success.

At the completion of this two-hour presentation you will be given a packet containing insurance verification information and a lengthy health questionnaire. You may complete the health questionnaire online.
